The pillar of Tui, and quite literally the beer the brewery is named after, this drop has been winning gold since its debut at the Palmerston North A&P show in 1904. Sometimes scoffed at for not even being an East India Pale Ale by “modern standards” this light, crisp, and slightly malted beer continues to win the hearts of New Zealanders and visitors alike.

TASTING NOTES

Tui East India Pale Ale is a light, crisp, and delicately malted beer. After opening the screw cap and nursing your torn finger you should notice a distinct aroma of the Mangatainoka River. No? Rest the bottle neck gently under your nostril and give it another sniff, you’ll get it.

FOOD MATCHES

Tui East India Pale Ale matches perfectly with a classic kiwi, B&E pie. Flavours to note include ‘mmmmm’ and ‘that’s going down a treat’. To bring out the best of this vintage beauty, slap some Tuimato sauce on that pie.
