Mars Maltage Cosmo Blended Japenese Whisky 岩井越百日威 750mL

Situated between the north and south Japanese alps, Mars Shinshu is Japan’s highest whisky distillery, at nearly 800 meters. The Hombo family have been distilling for more than a century and they added whisky to their repertoire in 1949 in Kagoshima. That was the southernmost whisky made in Japan until 1984, when all whisky production was moved to the current location in Nagano.

Maltage ‘Cosmo’  is a blend of single malts distilled and aged in Shinshu, with single malts distilled and aged in Scotland. Bottled at 43% ABV, it’s diluted with 100% Japanese water from sources close to the distillery in which the water has been filtered through the granite rocks for years, ensuring excellent water quality and exceptional purity.
