Glenmorangie The Nectar d’Or Sauternes Cask Extra Matured 12 Year Old Highlands Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or Single Malt Whisky is a 12 year old aged whisky, first aged first in American oak barrels before selected parcels are finished in Sauternes barrels, a sweet dessert wine from the most famous and ancient sweet wine-growing region of France.

Those American oak casks come from a forest in the US that Glenmorangie actually own. You can do that sort of stuff when you’re one of the big boys! They actually lend their casks to their mate Jack down the road (Jack Daniels, you might’ve heard of him?) who matures bourbon in them for four years, before returning them to Glenmorangie.

A mellow, rich and slighter sweeter style whisky with dessert like flavours.
