The Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is New Zealand’s most awarded Sauvignon Blanc. A trophy win announced last night at the Six Nations Wine Challenge further cements this status.
The Six Nations Challenge covers the countries of Argentina, Australia, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States of America. The Challenge is unique as it is the only wine competition in the world where wines are entered by invitation from the judges.
The Presentation Dinner, held in Sydney, was a formal affair with the High Commissioner and the Consul General of New Zealand both in attendance. Saint Clair family member Kate Ibbotson attended the dinner and accepted the Champion Sauvignon Blanc trophy on behalf of the family winery.
The Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is the very best wine selected from over one hundred individual tanks of Sauvignon Blanc. It is the product of exceptional pristine fruit from the vineyard combined with a winemaking team with a focus dedicated to quality.
Consistent excellence from vineyard to bottle, year after year, is a tribute to the family owned Marlborough winery and contributes to their global reputation as a leading New Zealand wine producer.
