Monkey 47 is 100 percent hand-sourced.
Each of the ingredients in Monkey 47’s botanical bill is hand-picked to deliver a fresh robust flavor profile. During a maceration process, distillers extract the essence from the herbs, fruits, and other plants before sending them off to be distilled.
The story of this gin starts back at the end of World War II, when RAF Wing Commander Montgomery Collins was given a tour of the British Sector of post-war Berlin. Troubled by the destruction he saw, he devoted himself to rebuilding the Berlin Zoo, sponsoring an egret monkey named Max.
Serving Recommendation
As a serving suggestion we’d recommend a crisp Premium Indian Tonic, such as Fever Tree’s Plain Indian Tonic water, ideally no more than 1 part Monkey 47 and 2 parts tonic to keep intact the flavours and complexity this gin brings to the table.
