A deluxe high-strength gin, awarded 97 points and the title ‘Spirit of the Year 2003’ by the Chicago Beverage Testing Institute (BTI), the world’s largest and most powerful drinks-testing organisation.
Martin Millers’ answer was the gin you will discover within this box.
You will find it’s emphasis on the spicier, peppery notes of cassia and nutmeg, harnessed to a higher strength make it the most versatile of gins.
As with all Martin Miller’s Gins it employs two different distiillations both using a copper pot still. Only the spirit’s ‘heart’ is taken from the two, heads and tails in both cases are discarded and not re-distilled.
The final gin is then created using these two separate distillates, one heavily reliant on Juniper and Cassia, and the other where citrus is dominant.
When fist introduced in 2003 Westbourne Dry Gin was awarded 97 points by the respected beverage testing institute. Twelve years later, in 2015, it was once again awarded 97 points an achievement that no other gin has ever matched.
