Glenalmond was first launched as an eight-year-old blend of Highland malts for European markets, and has since been available in a series of sporadically-released vintages. Considering its name, the blend may well contain malts from the Perthshire region – Glenalmond village is not too far from Glenturret in Crieff.
The brand’s flagship bottling is the no-age-statement Glenalmond Everyday, described as a ‘mellow, easy-going dram with honeyed notes of buttered toast’. Its core markets are Russia and Italy.
Nose: Sweet malt and vanilla. Caramel, spice and a touch of honey.
